Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes - for therapy sessions (in-home sessions are self-pay only). I currently accept numerous insurances, including United Healthcare, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Oxford, Oscar Health, Aetna, Cigna, Bank of America Anthem EAP, First Health, Carelon, Evernorth, United Healthcare Medicare Advantage (CO), and more.

I use two platforms (Headway and Rula) to manage my billing and admin work. These platforms manage everything related to payments and insurance to make things as easy as possible for you (and me). To see your costs, go to my Headway or Rula profiles and create an account, book a time, or select "add insurance". You’ll be able to see your cost per session ahead of time and can check your benefits any time. Check these profiles to see the most up-to-date list of insurances accepted.

If all this sounds too complicated, just give me a call or text!

Who should be at the sessions?

You know your family best! Some parents wish to include their partner or other support person in sessions occasionally. We can also change it up session to session.

For in-home sessions, your little one should be present so we can discuss cues, behavior, and preferences. No need to adjust your newborn's eating or sleeping schedule for our sessions - he will be perfect just the way he is! For toddlers, we will plan around nap time!

Do I need to clean my house before you come?

Please don't. I'm certain we will find a place to sit, or we can just go on a walk.

I come to your home because no one needs another appointment to drive to with a newborn or toddler in tow. Wear sweatpants, ignore the spit up on your shirt, and let the baby sleep.

How often and long do families work with you?

The goal of my fourth trimester in-home services is to be brief and solution-focused. I meet with families 1 - 2 times a week based on need, interest, and mutual availability. I hope to leave you with the skills and resources you need after a few weeks. But this is completely dependent on your needs- we can meet just once or on an ongoing basis, and I am always available to reconnect as needed!

For my mental health services and social-emotional in-home services, we will meet weekly or biweekly until you feel your goals have been met.

I don't know if I'm okay. Is that normal? Am I okay or do I need some kind of help?

I've been there. I spent too many hours googling "is this postpartum depression or just the baby blues?" instead of just asking for help. I didn't even know what "help" would look like.

It's okay to not be okay. And it's okay to not know if you're okay, or if this is just a stage, or if it'll be better tomorrow. But shoot me a text, we can figure it out together. I have no minimum session requirements- only one is just fine!

This isn't my first baby. Can you still help me?

I'd love to. Every postpartum experience is different. Your relationship with each child is unique. Sibling relationships bring a whole new element to the family. Reach out!

I'm pregnant and nervous about the postpartum period. Can we meet?

Yes! Please, yes. We often take classes and make plans for our baby's birth/arrival, but in general we do a terrible job learning about and planning for the postpartum period. It's a really hard few months (year?) and any planning or education we can do ahead of time is so worthwhile.

When are you available for sessions?

I will try to work with your family's schedule as much as possible. I am available during the week as well as some evenings and weekends.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Absolutely. Give me a call/text/email to set up a free 20 minute consultation.

How early or late in the day can I call or text you?

Call/text when you need to call/text. I turn my notifications off when needed. I'll get back to you during my work hours!

What are your rates?

Telehealth services: My initial intake fee is $145, with subsequent 55-minute sessions at $125.

Do you offer a reduced rate?
